Navires, gens, ports et commerce

Ottawa, la capitale de la nation, est stratégiquement placé pour cette conférence, située au confluent des rivières Gatineau et Rideau avec l'Outaouais, et à l'embouchure nord du canal Rideau, site héritage de l'UNESCO. Les séances de la conférence auront lieu dans les quartiers historiques du NCSM Bytown, depuis 1943 le carré des officiers de la marine nationale en service au quartier général de la défense nationale.

Le formulaire d'enregistrement (version langue française) est disponible ici. Les frais de $50 ($25 une seule journé) d'inscription comprennent les rafraîchissements pour le vendredi matin et après-midi et le samedi matin, ainsi que les déjeuners « soupe salade sandwich » (bar payant seulement le jeudi). L'habillement d'été est décontractée (chemise col ouvert, pas de T-shirts ni jeans). Aucune réservation en bloc de chambres d'hôtel n'a été faite, car il existe une variété d'options d'hébergement à des tarifs raisonnables dans les environs immédiats (le carré est situé au 73 rue Lisgar, dans le voisinage général de la rue Elgin - Laurier Ave).
